CJC-1295 Ipamorelin: what the studies can tell you

ConjuChem made one part stay in blood longer. Another team kept two stress hormones level while ipamorelin raised growth hormone. You still don't have a test of the pair.

Who made this pair, and what did they want it to do?

CJC-1295 Ipamorelin isn't one drug. Each part is a peptide, which means a small lab-made piece of protein. ConjuChem made CJC-1295 to stay in your blood longer. Another team's ipamorelin test raised growth hormone. In the same pigs, two stress hormones didn't budge. Growth hormone helps with growth, sleep, and tissue repair. Both drugs act on your growth gland, a small gland under your brain. Used together, they may lead to a larger release from that gland [3][4].

Here's the main limit I'd want you to keep close: you don't have a test of this exact pair in people, and the FDA hasn't approved either drug for use. You won't find the pair in tests of either drug by itself. You can't take the older work as proof, though it offers limited support. Research users report swelling and a warm flush after a shot on our CJC-1295 Ipamorelin effects page. Their reports can't predict your own result.

What did the separate tests find?

People were tested with CJC-1295 carrying DAC. DAC is a chemical tag that keeps the drug from clearing fast. The healthy adults were 21 to 61 years old. After a shot, their average growth hormone rose 2- to 10-fold. You can see the rise lasted at least six days. IGF-1 is a growth-linked blood-test number made by your liver. It rose 1.5- to 3-fold. That rise lasted nine to eleven days. With more doses, IGF-1 stayed above its earlier level for up to 28 days [1]. The later IGF-1 test still showed the rise. You can apply these findings only to the tagged form called CJC-1295.

Pigs received ipamorelin. Their growth hormone rose, while cortisol stayed level. Cortisol is a hormone that helps your body deal with stress. You don't see a rise in the other stress hormone either. This was still true at more than 200 times the amount needed to raise growth hormone [2]. The older drugs were GHRP-6 and GHRP-2. Ipamorelin brought a similar growth hormone rise to GHRP-6. You might hope that means fewer stress-hormone effects, but it was a pig result. People haven't had the same test. IGF-1 wasn't the point of this pig work.

Why did researchers think the two might work together?

The main support comes from a 1990 study of eighteen healthy men. Researchers gave one related drug at 0.1 and 0.3 micrograms per kilogram. They gave the other at 1 microgram per kilogram. The joint growth hormone rise was greater than the two separate rises added together [3]. In 2002, cells in a dish had about twice the response with both drugs [4].

But the limit is firm. You won't find the fixed CJC-1295 and ipamorelin mix in either study. The men got related drugs through a vein, not shots under your skin. You can see why the pair is worth studying. You still don't have proof of its safety or effect.

Why does the form used matter so much?

CJC-1295 isn't limited to one form. The DAC form has the chemical tag described above. The tag grips albumin, a protein that stays in your blood a long time. In people, this form stayed for roughly six through eight days [1][5]. The form without the tag is often called mod grf 1-29. It raises growth hormone for about thirty minutes, then your blood clears it. The cjc 1295 dac page compares the two forms in more detail.

That time gap could change what the pair does. The tagged form keeps raising growth hormone for days. The untagged form stops within minutes. Human studies haven't shown which is safer or works better. The FDA hasn't approved CJC-1295 or ipamorelin. World sports drug rules ban athletes from using either one at any time.
